iOS Remote Management

Mobile Device Management (MDM) gives the business and education sector the ability to remotely manage large scale deployments of iOS devices.

For IT departments this solution now gives the ability to enroll and manage the device in an enterprise environment. If implemented correctly you can easily update, monitor, wipe or lock the device even if it's on the other side of the world.

Most management functions are completed behind the scenes with no user interaction required. For example, if an IT department updates the network passsword they can now push the updated profile down to all enrolled devices without the need to recall any of the devices for reconfiguration.

The next time the Wireless network is accessed from the iOS device, the appropriate configuration is already in place.

Opal attended the Betts show for educaton in January to demonstate the importance of controlling your remote devices. If you require any further information please contact us to arrange a demonstration of how this can work for you.

iOS File Sharing (WebDAV)

At Opal we integrate a solution within your current Open Directory or Active Directlry file system to allow instant file replication between the server and your iOS device.

This removes the need to manually e-mail documents from the ipad to your desktop. We simply give you the option to save directly back to your share point on the server.

This builds in greater data protection as all data can be stored on the server avoiding data loss if the iOS device is lost or stolen. For added security all traffic can be directed through HTTPS.

Also as shown below you can also view and edit files from your server directly on your iOS device.

At Opal we have a demonstation WEBDav Server. If you would like a username and password for testing purposes please contact us at mdm@opalcs.co.uk for a free 7 day trial.
