Apple Service Centre

 

We are an Apple Authorised Service Provider (AASP) and our service department engineers are fully certified to repair all Apple equipment. We will endeavor to repair any Apple product, including; MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, MacBook, Mac Pro, iMac, PowerBook, iBook and PowerMac. If your Apple iPod or Apple Ipad is covered under the Apple warranty we will also be also to offer a replacement unit if it has developed a fault (This does not include user abuse or liquid damage).

How do I arrange a repair?

 

Simply turn up at our offices and we will see you without an appointment. This will include a quick chat with one of our engineers so we can get a good idea of the fault your having with your machine. We will provide you will a copy of the engineers report documenting all equipment left which an Apple Certified Macintosh Technician will sign.

If however you would like to speak to us before dropping off your machine please feel to call or e-mail us beforehand to discuss any aspect of your repair.

 

What else do you repair?

 

As well as been Apple and Toshiba Authorised we are also keen to undertake any computer repair including Hp, Compaq, Dell and Fujitsu.

What’s the cost?

 

Our standard diagnosis charge is free. For this an engineer will assess the machine and provide you a verbal quote and fault description. If however you want the quotation in writing an admin charge would apply.

If your machine is under the 12-month warranty or Apple Care then the repair will be carried out free of charge. This does not include user abuse including water damage.

 

 

Can I post my Computer to you?

 

We accept mail in repairs to our Newcastle branch, please make sure your machine is securely packaged and contact details are included in the box. Also if you could include a brief description of your fault which will enable our engineers to locate the issue a lot quicker.

If you would like Opal to arrange the whole repair that is no problem, simply let us know where you would like your machine collected from and we will have it collected by UPS and returned to our Service Centre for repair. Charges start at £7.50 + vat each way.

 

What’s our turnaround time?

 

Our workshop engineers average a turnaround time of just 2-3 days on all Apple repairs, typically 24-48 hours in most cases (subject to parts availability).

As all Apple parts are ordered specifically for your Apple machine we unfortunately do not hold stock. These parts are shipped to Opal via UPS on an next working day basis from Apple's European logistics centre.

Parking Facilities

 

We have free customer parking at our Apple Service Department. If you need assistance carrying your equipment simply call ahead and we’ll collect it from your vehicle. Our Newcastle branch has disabled access.
